History of Integrity Unit KPYPJ

The Integrity Unit was established in July 2019 to drive a culture of transparent governance, accountability and in line with State and Federal Government policies.

Brief introduction

The formation of the Integrity Unit Kumpulan Pendidikan YPJ (KPYPJ) is a strategic step following the government's mandate to integrate compliance and corruption prevention functions in public sector organizations and GLCs.

Established July 2019

Integrity Unit KPYPJ was established in early July 2019 through the merger of the Internal Audit Division. This new unit operates at the KPYPJ headquarters and reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer to ensure prompt action on leakage issues or integrity risks.

This structure strengthens KPYPJ's ability to monitor policy compliance, enhance internal accountability and build a work culture based on trust values.

The main trip of the unit

A series of achievements that strengthen the role of the Integrity Unit in ensuring that KPYPJ complies with the principles of best governance.

2019 — Restructuring

The merger of the Internal Audit Division into the Integrity Unit and the establishment of a governance framework based on the five pillars of the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC).

2020 — Policy & Procedure

Coordination of standard operating procedures related to complaint management, misconduct reporting and disciplinary action mechanisms.

2021 — Enhancement of Consciousness

Organizing an integrity coaching series for employees and students KPYPJ to instill the value of trust and professionalism.

2023 — Strategic Cooperation

Collaboration with state integrity agencies as well as industry partners to improve risk reporting and control systems.

Mandate & main focus

The Integrity Unit is responsible for ensuring that the reputation of KPYPJ is always maintained through compliance with laws, policies and organizational ethics.

Misconduct Prevention

Carry out risk assessment and internal control recommendations to close the room for abuse, corruption or conflict of interest.

Detection & Reporting

Coordinating complaint information confidentially as well as recommending disciplinary action to top management.

Cultivation of Integrity

Organize training, campaigns and engagement sessions that foster an ethical and performance-oriented work culture.
